Denver Broncos Select Carlos Henderson, McDonogh 35 Graduate
May 5, 2017
Drafted 82nd overall in the third round, Carlos Henderson will be a welcomed addition to the Denver Broncos offense. Graduating from McDonogh 35 in 2013, Carlos made a name for himself as both a prolific receiver and returner during his time at Louisiana Tech.
Henderson put together two average seasons in college before exploding in 2016 with 82 receptions for 1,535 yards and 19 touchdowns, which was tied for the FBS lead.
In a game against UMass last year, he caught 13 passes for 326 yards and five touchdowns.
He was also named the Offensive and Special Teams Player of the Year in Conference USA last season. The second of those awards was given due to Henderson’s dynamic ability as a kick returner, an area where he was among the best in the country.
We are so proud of Carlos. Best Wishes.
