Juvenile Justice Week
October 22, 2018
This week is our inaugural Juvenile Justice Week, a week created by the school board to bring awareness surrounding youth in detention centers and to advocate for alternative solutions for juveniles besides jail and detention centers.
Did you know? 47.5% of youth released from our state’s juvenile justice custody return to custody within three years.
Join our movement and use the hashtag #advocate4alternatives and #juvenilejusticeweek on social media to help us create awareness on alternative solutions for struggling juveniles instead of pushing them through the pipeline to prison.
