Nominations being accepted for the 2019 New Orleans Excellence in Teaching Award (NOETA)

We’re seeking nominations for the 2019 New Orleans Excellence in Teaching Award (NOETA)! This award was created in 2015 by New Schools for New Orleans and the Orleans Parish School Board is excited to take over the planning and execution of it. We are ecstatic about continuing to honor outstanding public school teachers in New Orleans.

You must be a school leader or coach to submit a nomination.

Finalists and winners of the New Orleans Excellence in Teaching Award will be honored at a celebratory breakfast on May 21, 2019. Additionally, each winner will receive a monetary award.

Who can nominate a teacher?
School leaders, teacher coaches, and other academic or cultural leaders at any New Orleans public school or network are eligible to nominate exceptional teachers at their schools for this citywide award. Please share this email with the appropriate eligible nominators.

How do I nominate a teacher?

You must complete the nomination form(s) by 11:59pm on December 10, 2018 in order for your great teachers to be considered for this award. We estimate that it will take 30-60 minutes to complete.
